It still works with Patch 1.4 (tested Apr 29th) Focus on him and turn up your volume. When his pose gives you'll hear a distinctive sound and you'll see a red flame in his heart. Wait for it to disappear before hitting again.

if u have a fallingstar beast jaw u can light him up with the special/ left trigger while the spirit ash occupies him. took less than a min.
It definitely works post patch as you stated in your recent video. The first time I tried it, it didn't work. I'm guessing you have to run straight at him because I ran to the side and he was mobile but 2nd try I ran straight to him and cheesed he remained. I've already fought him legit so this was a nice easy change. Keep bringing them 🧀.

I just cheesed Mohg used the shackle moved in close then hit him with terra magica, physic with magic shrouding and cerulean hidden, then a full on nuke of comet azur wearing full set of fingerprint armor and stargazer heirloom, graven-school, radagon’s soreseal with base of 80 int also have carina regal scepter +10

When I tryed it it still did work they patch when I tryed it

works, come at it straight as mentioned in some other comment, if you attack him from the side, he wakes up
